Los modelos bifactor vs. los modelos factoriales mixtos en la estructura factorial del TDAH

Resum

En la última década, el modelo bifactor del Trastorno por Déficit de Atención e Hiperactividad (TDAH) ha sido ampliamente investigado. Este modelo consiste en una dimensión general del TDAH y dos factores específicos (inatención e hiperactividad/impulsividad). Por otro lado, los Modelos Factoriales Mixtos (FMM) se han empezado a implementar también en el estudio de la estructura del TDAH debido a la posibilidad de combinar variables categóricas y continuas que faciliten el estudio de la realidad latente del trastorno. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue describir y analizar de forma crítica aquellas investigaciones publicadas en los últimos diez años (de 2008 a 2018) que se basaron en modelos bifactor y en modelos factoriales mixtos (FMM) para el análisis de la estructura del TDAH, dado que, hasta el momento, no hay ninguna evidencia consistente sobre un modelo óptimo del trastorno en niños y adolescentes. Para ello, se presentó una revisión exhaustiva basada en una búsqueda bibliográfica, donde se analizaron las publicaciones de revistas científicas referidas al objetivo del trabajo. Los estudios concluyen que el bifactor es superior al modelo tradicional de dos factores correlacionados, de acuerdo con el ajuste obtenido mediante el análisis factorial, mientras que el modelo factorial mixto del TDAH de dos factores y dos clases ha mostrado un mejor ajuste que la mayoría de los modelos bifactor.
