Las habilidades sociales y su entrenamiento; un enfoque necesariamente psicosocial

Resumen

Se pretende en este artículo mostrar la necesidad de una perspectiva psicosocial en el estudio de las habilidades sociales y su entrenamiento. En este terreno se hace absolutamente imprescindible la colaboración entre la psicología clínica y la psicología social, con una muy fuerte presencia de la psicología social dado que son destrezas sociales principalmente psicosociales lo que hay que entrenar y relaciones interpersonales lo que hay que mejorar, ya que la premisa fundamental que subyace a las teorías sobre el entrenamiento de las habilidades sociales es justamente que la mayoría de los problemas psicológicos y de conducta de la gente no son sino la consecuencia de no poseer o de poseer de una forma insuficiente o inadecuada determinadas destrezas sociales e interpersonales. De ahí que la psicología social haya estado presente en este movimiento, y lo siga estando, ya desde sus orígenes y con un carácter realmente protagonista, como en este trabajo intentamos mostrar.
