Abstract
The aim of this comunication is to analyze the associationist movement linked to viticulture in the Protected Designation of Origin of León. Specifically, we develop an exploratory study on the intangible cultural dimension of wine‐growing associationism. Cooperative winehouses and other associative ways are the central objective of this contribution, on which for the selected field of study there are no previous studies in that sense. The method of analysis goes through several steps: the identification of cooperatives; the characterization of the factors and actors that favored its constitution; The social meaning and its patrimonial dimension.
