Abstract
The present research paper studies the connection between the coat of arms of the Marquises of Aguilar and the main buildings where they displayed their power in the town of Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia). Heraldry was thus used as an additional reminder of their jurisdictional power, since there were frequently absent from the town due to their participation in the court circles.
