Resumen

Exposure to entertainment is a complex phenomenon whose explanation requires a multidimensional approach. In the first part we argue about the methodological difficulties presented by articulating a general theory of entertainment as have been developed so far investigations taking into account only partial aspects and variables set isolated phenomena involved in the process exposure to entertainment media. Current particular entertainments theories do not allow base a general theory, still insufficient, and require new methodological approaches. It argues the need for multidimensional methodological designs for moving towards the development of the general theory, and we illustrate this with two investigations conducted in the laboratory Lipsimedia and using a multidimensional approach. The results show the interest of the implementation of such experimental procedures. Finally we introduce a reflection on the difficulty of translating the results of such multidimensional research into existing scientific publishing formats, raising the need to move towards new media spaces and visibility of scientific production.
