Zusammenfassung
In the current study we have come to the Dominican Order seeking their relationship with the so-called seventh art. First, we introduce some works of cinematography with characters who represent important Dominican religious figures in order to understand the influence that this Order has had on cinema. Moreover, from a translation studies perspective, we performed a theoretical and practical approach to the main characteristics that define the subtitling of multilingual films. The analysis of the solutions adopted by translators in the translation process highlights the difficulties involved in the transfer of such audiovisual texts for the translator.
