Resum

The woman as cause and origin of the evils that afflict humanity is a widespread belief during the centuries of the Middle Age. Her body, dangerous object of temptation, gains importance on the monumental sculpture through different iconographic types reflecting the sin. This PhD thesis seeks to study the feminine representation during the Late Middle Ages in the territory of Castile and Leon whitin a social and cultural context that helps to understand her reading and interpretation
