Résumé
Vineyard landscapes are rare in the Ancares Leoneses Biosphere Reserve. However, partly due to their visual impact and partly to the contrast and complement that they provide, they are an exceptional element that enhance the patrimonial wealth of this territory. The vineyards of RBALE are associated to a particular geomorphological space: the set of glacis, hills, slopes and terraces in the northern sector of the “Hoya” or tectonic trench that is bounded by Villafranca del Bierzo on the western side and Cacabelos on the eastern side, between the rivers Burbia and Cúa. This geomorphological ensemble that supports the vineyards is analysed and an approximation to its basic landscape features (components, textures, warps) is provided. The consideration of these landscapes as part of the strategic planning for the Biosphere Reserve together with measures for the recognition, conservation and promotion of this patrimony is proposed.
