Resum
In the 1830s and 1840s a great deal of works were published by Spanish political theorists in defence of a moderate sort of liberalism that should contribute to create a state of a constitutional nature in Spain, jus t like elsewhere in Europe. Among them is to be considered the prolific Andrés Borrego (1802 - 1891), whose thought evolved from most radical liberalism to moderantismo , and whose pro - European ideal can be traced throughout his personal and intellectual life .
