Resum

Violence against people with disabilities has been and is a historical constant that is due to a series of causes, especially related to gender and age. The question is why they survive and how to address such circumstances. The number of cases of people with disabilities victims of violence remains obscure and difficult to determine. The very concept of inhuman and cruel treatment must be duly concretized, for which the doctrine of the European Court of Human Rights is bound to be a reference.
