Abstract
The development of specific skills in the field of industrial engineering must consider the transversality of the contents acquired in each knowledge area. Therefore, this paper shows the way in which the contents from different fields (such as materials, manufacturing processes, design, etc.) are integrated for obtaining the final product. In the field of engineering, an analysis, where all these aspects converge, allows to evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of the final product and this in turn, to optimize the manufacturing process, This paper shows the analysis of the work environment and the work methodology followed by an interdisciplinary group of university teachers from different areasi materials, manufacturing processes, designwvho contribute their knowledge about a problem of manufacturing engineering.
