Resumen
The carpentry of the College of San Gregorio in Valladolid, carried out approximately between 1488 and 1494, was due to Macias, a Medina del Campo carpenter who died in 1490; his sons continued his work. The different ceilings of the building, including its polychromies, are studied in this paper and the stated dates substantiated. Furthermore, the ceiling of de nave of the church of San Nicolás de Bari in Madrigal de las Altas Torres (Ávila) is documented to have been done by Macías’ sons, and to them is also attributed the ceiling of the presbytery. Both works are related to some of the roofs in Saint Gregory.
