Abstract

This work focuses on the optimization of short-term crude oil operations scheduling in a system composed of a refinery and a maritime terminal within the middle segment of the oil industry supply chain. The main challenge lies in coordinating the decisions made at both facilities and achieving a solution that is economically competitive. Based on the aforementioned premise, this work presents a continuous-time mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) formulation in order to support the decision-making process in an integral way.
