La evolución del empleo y del salario en el ayuntamiento de Valladolid1875-1930: Análisis cuantitativo

Resumen

Municipal budgets reveal detailed information about the development of employment and salaries of municipal employees. Since the tendency of salaries is one of the components in the standard of living of the working class, its knowledge will be important. A quantitative study of these salaries nominal salaries- is the only way to know the real salaries, bearing in mind the cost of living. The graph line in the tendency of municipal employees nominal salaries shows a slight increase until the end of the 19th century, and a later decrease until 1910. The next period, from the First World War to 1930, shows a considerable rise in the nominal salaries. Nevertheless, because of the spectacular rise in prices in the second decade of the 20th century, municipal employees lost purchasing power and real salaries went down.
