We are not exaggerating when we say that there is a historical gap in the studies about the elections in Elizabeth II's time. In contrast to that, there are a great number of electoral studies in Spain about later times -particularly about the Restoration and Second Republic-. In this work we try to approximate to the electoral practice in Elizabeth lI's time by means of the analysis of the elections that took place in october 1854 in a small Castilian province. This analysis emphasizes the unquestionable influence of the revolution of July upon theses elections (it made possible the elections).
