Resumen

The Second Voyage of Columbus is specially scarce in original documents. The almost whole of its fonts are secondary versions and summaries. The most important claim in this paper is the fact of using archival refferences. The select document is an unpublished one from the A.G.S. (Archivo General de Simancas) and contains a long —301 people—list of names. This official record was sended by the Badajoz’s bishop to the Catholic Kings and consisted of those expeditionaries and the stipulated salary that the Crown owed them. The second section of this article establishes same features of language through this document.
