Resum
Throughout this article those Chairs within the University of Valladolid, owned by religious orders, and Known as Chairs "pro religione", will be analyzed. They were founded by private individuals (usually noble people or bishops), with a capital that produced enough income for the maintenance of these Chairs. They were provided by the Councils and controlled by the very same religious orders (Jesuits, Dominicans or Franciscans). In these Chairs only the exclusive. Theology of each order was studied. It was another marketing mean for these friars. These posts were attacked by the illustrated people during XVIII century. These intellectuals had denounced the majority presence of friars in general education and in University. It was about time a process of secularization took place.
