Abstract
The Doce Linajes Institution of Soria, which in the Modern Age controlled a great deal of the local offices, sales and goods was also the patron of the Foundling Charity, a prerogative which dated from the Late Middle Ages. This form of patronage provided its member knights which a new means of exerting local power.
