Abstract

The proposal made in this paper has a great goal: to study and evaluate a pedagogy of power �or many�, it's techniques and it's practices. In order to achive this goal it makes the following proposal for the reader: putting to work a set of theorycal and metodological proposals taken from the field of history in order to apply them in a concrete case: the Castilla at the times of emperor Carlos I. This study will be made trough the analysis of two macrorealites still present in our times: the structure of the State and the space created trough it's relationship with the university. This set us in the first half of the XVI century with a monarchic State whith a nearly unquestionable power and a university like the University of Salamanca as a unquestionable worldwide reference of the republic of letters in that stage of history. Those relationships studied from the point of view of the history of the families of power, or from a microhistorical point of view can bring us as results new point of view that will led us to a new history of education, to a cultural history of the university and to a reflexion about an interesting concept such as the families of power.
