Zusammenfassung
: This paper has both purposes: (a) To define specifically the semantic function Reference or Ambit in Classical Greek expressed by the genitive morpheme and to rate the position of another formal devices specialized in such semantics functions as these; (b) To vindicate the polysemic value of category "genitive" in Classical Greek and to place within the general schema of its several meanings the intersection in which the genitive of "reference" is placed with respect to other meanings contiguous in this semantic domain.
