Resumo
In this paper the author edits the introductions and sorne extracts of two twelfth-century commentaries on Juvenal, and studies their poetic theory. Most of this theory is found in the introductions and is devoted to describe the satiric genre, which is considered in a traditional way, although one of them has an innovative view of certain issues. There are scarcely any theoretical observations in the glosses, but a whole poetic doctrine seems to underlie their explanations, for instance when some rhetorical figures are pointed out, or when several "voices" are identificated in Juvenal's lines.
