Abstract

This interview to the sculptor from Zaragoza, Ricardo Calero, narrates the experience developed in the year 2000, in some of the most depressed regions of the Dominican Republic. Around thirty prestigious artists from all over the World collaborated in this project named "The art as tool to create development: experiences in San José de Ocoa". There, in collaboration with the inhabitants of the village, Ricardo Calero raised an inhabitable sculpture that named "Space for a dream", a place for the dialog between human beings and with them and the nature. This space that, in addition, pretended to attract tourists from the costal hotels to these economically and socially depressed areas.
