Abstract
This study comprises a selection of a series of activities developed for educational purposes, based on a current line of research that deals with pure geometrical shapes and their relevance in the field of design. In an attempt to apply this to certain creative subjects in Industrial Design degrees, we propose carrying out a series of exercises through which the use of different solid shapes enables the student to discover and understand the spatial and structural concepts that the cube -in this case- represents, as a model, treating it as a solid mass or a hollow form.
