Abstract
The success of many applications based on three-dimensional perception depends on a high accuracy camera calibration algorithm, and a robust 3D data reconstruction algorithm. We present a camera calibration method with several types of distorsion which are modeled in two components: tangential and radial. Parameters estimation is performed using the weighted least squares method. We show that it is possible to recover an optimal solution in reconstruction of 3D coordinates, using a Kalman filter approximation. Experimental results show the feasability and the performance of these algorithms.
