SHARE. TEC: Un portal para compartir contenidos digitales en el ámbito de la formación del profesorado

Abstract

In this age we are witness to the expansion of Digital Libraries and Repositories in the Web. We discover services aimed to various objectives and addressed to different contexts and knowledge areas. We can spot a large number of Web Services, Social Networks, Portals, etc., that contain Learning Objects for the Teacher Education field. Nevertheless it is difficult to find services aimed specifically to the Teacher Education. In this work we present Share.TEC, a repository for Teacher Education specifically that was created between 2008 and 2011. The Portal started from a Project framed in the eContentplus Programme of the European Commission (which has as main objective to make digital content in Europe more accessible and reusable). All along our experience being participants in the project, we detected the main potential and weakness issues related with the creation and the system itself. Teacher educators represent an essential component for designing Portal improvements. Moreover their role is crucial on detecting the main features that these kinds of systems have to take into consideration. Therefore we will mainly focus on the technological and pedagogical aspects that underlie Share.TEC trying to offer some keys which came out from our research for redefining this kind of systems.
