Resumen
Food storing by the Woodchat Shrike Lanius senator is considered as an infrequent form of behaviour. Monitoring of 25 territories, during the years 1988- 1990 in the province of León (NW Spain], showed food storing in four territories (16%). Prey was mainly stored during the incubation and nestling stages. Food utilization was detected within 24 hours. The tactics of subjection of the stored prey ond the temporal-spatial patterns of food hoarding were similar to those described For the Red-backed Shrike lanius collurio
