Resumen
In this paper the habitat of the Wallcreeper Tichodroma muraria in the lberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands is studied by means of a review of the literature and data obtained through questionnaires. The mean altitudes at which Wallcreepers were found during the breeding, dispersal, migration and wintering periods were 1839 m, 2062 m, 972 m and 8 16 m respectively, with significant differences between each of these. The species mainly occupies rocks of limestone formation all year round, although it also uses siliceous rocks and, during migration, argillaceous rocks. It mainly inhabits rock outcrops and cliffs [Fluvial and non-fluvial areos), while during the migration and wintering periods it can be found in coastal cliffs and human constructions, and it also increases its use of river gorges
