“Du dauerst mich!” La expresión de las emociones en los cuentos de los hermanos Grimm

Resumen

El presente estudio trata, desde un punto de vista lingüístico, las emociones o sentimientos contenidos en los Cuentos para la infancia y el hogar de los hermanos Grimm. La base teórica la constituye, por un lado, el planteamiento de Wierzbicka con su propuesta de describir semánticamente las emociones mediante los llamados escenarios cognitivos utilizando el metalenguaje semántico natural (Natural Semantic Metalanguage, NSM). Por otro lado, me inspiro en sugerencias de Fries que, a su vez, ha desarrollado unas herramientas para la descripción de las escenas emocionales presentes en textos literarios, entendiendo las emociones como predicaciones. Después de la presentación de estas bases teóricas proporciono un inventario (no exhaustivo) de las emociones que se pueden encontrar en los cuentos de Grimm, a partir de su mención proposicional, es decir, las designaciones de las emociones mediante sustantivos, adjetivos y verbos, pero con inclusión también de su expresión no proposicional. Finalmente presento y describo, de forma ejemplar, algunas escenas emocionales. Como resultado hay que constatar que los cuentos de Grimm se caracterizan por un determinado tipo de escenas emocionales, fácilmente identificables a nivel narratológico, que, en su conjunto, representan toda una “escuela emocional”, tanto en el orden lingüístico como cognitivo.
