Abstract
After placing the vacceos and their funeral rituals chronologically and geographically , we will analyze the 85 cremations from the excavation campaigns XVIII- XXII ( 2007-2011) did in the necropolis de Las Ruedas , occupied since the end of V century BC to the second century AD , corresponding to vacceo -Roman oppidum of Pintia (Padilla de Duero, Peñafiel). The regulatory vacceo ritual behave cremation of the body and deposit in cinerary urn placed in the open hole. The belief in immortality led them to move to the realm of otherworldly elements that symbolized their status in life, and often include a viatical victuals for the Hereafter. Thus, the grave goods deposited in the tombs, if any, indicate the sex, age and social position cremated. We intend the description of the findings (all fresh bones), the characterization of individuals (mostly adults) that corresponded these remains and confirmation of the preset behavior. We emphasize the limited paleophatology found: a spinal osteoarthritis, an injured left humeral head, a metatarsal exostosis, a molar caries, periodontitis maxillary, and a possible osteolytic lesion. And the discovery of bone fragments stained orange by iron ornaments possible 9 tombs and stained green by ornaments possible with copper compounds in 3.
