Abstract

A correct integration of reason and emotion, of care virtues and universal principles, of rights and responsibilities, allows us to attain more comprehensive ethical theories than those that deny certain qualities that have been feminized through a history of women’s exclusion. We uphold that environmental ethics have much to gain from the new way of understanding the morals proposed from the perspective of ethics of care. That is how the ecofeminist thinking understands it, a line of thinking that has continued and deepened the analysis of androcentrism that carried out by the feminist movement in the 20th century.
