Résumé

The Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) has been defined as the effort to control and improve health in the workplace, and of pooling the efforts of employers, employees and society to improve the health and welfare of the people in the workplace, impacting the organization, working conditions, promoting active participation and encouraging individual development. The workplace offers enormous potential to reach a large number of people and provide information and assistance to improve their health and wellbeing. The investment in WHP has a favorable impact because it improves the health of workers and reduces accidents and diseases, increases business productivity and reduces absenteeism. The WHP was established as a modern business strategy aimed at the prevention of occupational hazards (including workrelated diseases, accidents, injuries and stress disorders) but also to increase the individual capacity of the working population to maintain or improve their and quality of life.
