Abstract
Lichen planus (LP) in children is a rare disease representing 2 to 3% of all cases. The average age of onset is above 4 years. The most common clinical variety in children is a classic LP being less common the oral and genital form. The primary lesion of the LP is a polygonal and purple papule. It is usually very itchy. The papules are distributed symmetrically and may coalesce and form plaques of different sizes. They are located habitually on the front of the wrists, backs of the hands, lower back and pretibial area, even though it can appear anywhere. We present a child with a case of LP.
