Zusammenfassung

Aggressions against health professionals are a major problem in recent years. This review aims to give a panoramic overview of the studies carried out in Spain on this subject. It is noted that most of the works are descriptive, but there are other approaches to study the issue, such as the analysis of the legal consequences of attacks or impacts on workers' health, with a special emphasis on burn-out syndrome and other psychological sequels. There are many studies related to obtain a detailed knowledge of the phenomenon, in order to guide possible measures to tackle it. Other lines of research are also focused on the impact of the measures already implemented and their effectiveness, both in the preventive and in the post-incident actions. There is a need for further research, emphasizing the best of procedures and instruments of analysis, as well as to promote studies at a national level and the need for better knowledge in some aspects of the phenomenon not enough studied.
