Abstract
Western Sahara is the last remaining colony of decolonization in Africa. The European Union has made several Agreements t hat privilege its relations with Morocco, current occupying power of the non - autonomous territory of the Sahara. The Court of Justice of the European Union, through its judgment of 21 December 2016, opens a window of opportunity to place first in the Europ ean integration the solution of a conflict that lasts more than forty years, and which is mainly responsible for one of its Member States: Spain.
