Abstract

In this paper, taking as point of departure the data provided by García de Salcedo Coronel in his commentaries on Luis de Gongora’s poetry, we propose and try to demonstrate the hypothesis that this poet used to take information, both for the elocutio and the inventio of his poems, from French humanist Johannes Ravisius Textor’s Epitheta.
