Abstract

Objective and Methods: This study includes a comprehensive review of the critical literature on the most relevant and current position in the evolution and the different strategies in neonatal resuscitation research. Results: It is necessary to establish a transitional support the infant in the adaptation period, the delay in cord clamping should be at least 1 minute, optimal temperature ranges from 36,5-37,5ºC neonate. Ventilatory support in preterm infants, should initially either air or low oxygen concentrations used (up 30%). If despite effective ventilation oxygenation remained unacceptable, it should be considered the use of higher concentrations of oxygen. Conclusions: Efforts to improve the performance sequence to a revival in different hospitals consensual and reducing the incidence of perinatal asphyxia and neonatal morbidity and mortality.
