Resum

Thanks to the Doctoral Thesis and my work experience I have been able to gain a deeper understanding of the theme of my research: the family-school relationship. From a qualitative study, the Action Research give us a spiral design. Each step is reinforced through analysis and putting ideas into action. Therefore, what we are presenting is the first phase of an ongoing investigation. Our objectives: 1. Applying methodologies commonly used in kindergarten and primary school education with other aims, to increase the participation of families in the classroom. 2. To examine the benefits that families say they are having through their own participation. Three methodologies have been selected: Workshops, the “child of the week” and work projects.They have been implemented and evaluated with the collaboration of the families. Some results and conclusions highlighted: * The participation of the families has increased in all cases. They show their willingness to continue they participation. They provide ideas and proposals. * They recognize the benefits for their children such as: knowing how they get along in the classroom; increase their motivation in the school, connecting the two most important environments for child, family and school alternative for enjoying the free time; personal growth...
