Abstract

El Arenosillo station (Huelva, Spain, 37.1N, 6.7W) belonging to INTA, since February 2000. More than three years of monitoring aerosol measurements database, carried out with four different instruments, is available. The analysis of the data series of aerosol optical depth (AOD) revealed several problems related to instruments calibration and data processing. A fictitious diurnal pattern in aerosol optical depth was found. Taking profit of this effect we have developed a method, called KCICLO, to correct AOD data series.
