Zusammenfassung

Andreas Capellanus wrote at the end of the 12th century a treatise entitled De amore, which represents an update of the Art of love and Remedies against the love of Ovid, but which shows a new way of seeing love relationships: courteous love, which is a code, an art of love in which a series of norms are established, which constitute polite love, courtesy. This love was sung by many troubadours within the feudal and aristocratic world. But this work poses problems of interpretation and remains the subject of controversy
