Abstract
In medical literature we notice a clear continuity between the theories of ancient Greeks and those of the Renaissance authors, for which one of the main forms of access to science is reading and reproducing the previous authorities. We analyze the use of sources and the problems of the transmission of medical knowledge from Ancient Greece to Italian Renaissance through the study of intertextuality in the work of the Paduan physician Michele Savonarola.
