Resum

This study deals with the importance of pre-existing cities and architecture at some of the most important projects by Archigram. Historically related to Pop Culture and technological architecture, this group embraced some of the most revolutionary architectural experiments of the 60’s and took them to their highest level. A lot has been said about their utopian city proposals. Nevertheless, their strategies for intervention at inherited cities have not been so often studied. Projects such as the Instant City and others which came from it defined an innovative way to update cities and architecture. They inherited the results of the main researches by the group and combined them in a brilliant manner.
