Résumé

he parish church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Guaza de Campos (Palencia, Spain) i s a singular building from the end of the 18 th century. Its erection process was complex, involving Academia de San Fernando in Madrid and two architects, Pedro González Ortiz and Manuel Turrillo, being the latter the author of the built project. In this a rticle, we will explain how this process took place and will shed light on how the Academia de San Fernando tried to expand the new architectural ideals. Furthermore, we are going to analyse the building with the aid of brand new plans drawn by us.
