Experimental Stark halfwidths of some Ne II UV lines

The aim of this work is to provide new Stark halfwidth data for some Ne II UV spectral lines. This work completes our previous studies on ionized neon lines halfwidths and extends the Stark parameters database for astrophysical applications. The Stark halfwidths were measured in a pulsed arc helium‐neon plasma. Electron density and temperature were in the range (1.5 – 1.7) × 1023 m‐3 and 26800 – 31000 K, respectively. Stark halfwidths of eight ionized neon spectral lines are presented. Since, for the spectral lines in consideration, no other experimental results exist in the literature, the measured Stark halfwidths are compared only to the theoretical values, calculated using the modified semiempirical formula. In addition, the measured halfwidths are compared to the halfwidths of other lines belonging to the 3p – 3d and 3p – 4s transition arrays.
