Abstract
In this article we try to approach the figure of San Juan de la Cruz, significant presence in the Spanish mystic, and reformer of Carmelite Order, through the miracle happened in the Carmelite convent of San José in Medina del Campo with one of bis relics. Fact which led to a significant change in iconography, little known, however, resulted in numerous and outstanding artistic pieces (paintings, prints...) not only at local but also national and oven international levels.
