Abstract

The aim of this work is to describe the behaviour, in the Space of States, of an absorbed synchronous machine, with outstanding poles, connected to an unlimited bar through a passive net, by means of the explicit form of the Lyapunov function defined by the oscillation equations which rules the transitory behaviour of the generator. We define the border of the attraction region corresponding to the point of stable running resulting from the eliminationof a existent perturbation on the system. The intersection of the trayectories in the Space of States, of the evolution of the alternator under defect and of the border of the postdefect attraction region, allows us to calculate with extrem facility the critic time and angle, instead of utilizing the numeric resolution of the equation by the Euler or Runge-Kutta methods.
