Abstract
In his late years, Fernán Pérez de Guzmán wrote a handbook of education for women who are about to get married. In it, he versified the five rules that Sarah was given by her parents before her wedding, in a composition that makes use of the Holy Scriptures and popular knowledge. The text is extant in eleven witnesses, nine manuscripts and two printed copies
