Abstract
From a historical standpoint, the present study analyses some points of the centre electoral space, during the 80’, in Spanish party system. In this sense, CDS, –Centre Democratic and Social–, is specially relevant as a constant reference point in this political space. Apart from these aspects related to the electoral struggle, we try to outline a fundamental period in order to complete the political profile of Adolfo Suárez, CDS’s president between 1982 and 1991
