Abstract

In 1480 the urban separation of religious minorities of Castile was decreed. It was not the first time that the confinement of Jews and Muslims were ordered, however, this time would be carried out. Islamic communities (Mudejars) in Extremadura show some characteristics that determine an unequal constitution of morerías (Morish neighborhoods). In this paper we present some features of the Mudejars and their districts in the region of Extremadura.
