Resumen

This article shows the application of a methodology for the optimization of a renewablehybrid system applied to the Veracruz campus of the National Technology ofMexico. An algorithm was developed in MATLAB that integrates data from renewableresources, campus demand, and economic information from system components. Two configurations were obtained, one for economic optimization and one for environmentaloptimization. Of the optimal configurations for the system, the technicallymost sustainable one increases its cost by 15.6% but reduces CO2 emissions by23.5% compared to the most economical system.
