Resumo

The rivalry between Pilar Primo de Rivera and Mercedes Sanz Bachiller during the Spanish Civil War, or what is the same thing, between the Feminine Section and Social Aid, already has been studied, by major or minor depth, by autho-resses as M.ª Teresa Gallego, Mónica Orduña or recently Ángela Cenarro.In this article lets sense beforehand the documentation found about the file ofPedro Sainz Rodríguez (APSR), in the General File of the Administration (AGA) and inthe file of the Asociación Nueva Andadura (ANA) with regard to this matter.We hope also that it helps to enrich the above mentioned studies and to unders-tandbetter the reasons that provoked the clash among these two women, that even agreeing in the fundamental thing they were supporting different conceptions withregard to the main role of the woman in the bosom of their organization and, in gene-ral, in the society.Finally, we include the preliminary design that Pilar Primo de Rivera sent to the FET’s Political Meeting and the JONS members in order to start the formative activities that all the women had to follow in the schools of the «New State». Also we includethe reorganization project of the Feminine Section, that months later became into thedecree that gave Pilar Primo de Rivera the whole control about the women’s information and mobilization.
